It is important to know that the cost of documentation work can seam higher then most people think almost as much as a new home. this is not because we are out looking to make a quick dollar. but due to the fact that much of the same research and development goes into checking council regulations and obtaining existing house / land documents, or if we have to measure your existing house and redraw the plans.
A simple example for this are the plans for a carport our fees are $1200 including GST if you have existing plans $1500, If you don't. Off this money only $600 if for design and drafting of 10 or more pages. You will also need have them certified about $1200 council Fees about $1000 and engineers fees again $1200. So before you even get to building, your professional fees are going to be close to $5000
